ESCORIAL. Naturally Grown. ESCORIAL. Traceable To Origin.

ESCORIAL is a truly distinctive fibre, creating luxurious fabrics with unrivalled comfort.

In 1340 Spanish royalty took possession of a unique flock originating in North Africa’s Mahgreb to nurture on the Escorial plains North West of Madrid.

In the sixteenth century King Phillip II built the magnificent Escorial palace where he kept his flock, prized for producing the softest and finest fleeces. King Phillip’s flock became known as the Royal Escorial flock.

Today, ESCORIAL is so rare there are only three remaining flocks in the world that directly descend from the original Royal Escorial flock. Two in Australia and one in New Zealand.

The ESCORIAL fibre has an extraordinary three dimensional helical crimp, acting like a natural spring creating wonderfully light, naturally flexible, crease resistant garments.

The dedicated attention to detail in protecting the Escorial flocks through all stages of careful processing ensure ESCORIAL’s special characteristics are recognised and enhanced to provide the customer with a remarkable garment.
